POOL MANAGER
Job Description: Responsibilities include supervision of overall operation, including all programs at one of six City aquatic facilities. This includes: Training, assigning, supervising, and evaluating staff; ensuring safety of staff and participants, and ensuring that custodial and maintenance duties are done properly and frequently enough to achieve sanitary and pleasing conditions at the pool facility; seeing that facility and equipment functions properly and are in good repair through staff efforts and work order requests; completing and maintaining daily records and weekly reports, and other paperwork as required; ensuring that the public is handled effectively and with consideration using good public relations skills. The position also is responsible for operating the filter system and responding to mechanical requirements of the pool and associated facilities. This position has ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all pool operations are conducted in a safe and healthful manner. Applicants must possess good knowledge of and experience with the management of a swimming pool facility filter and sanitation operations, water safety, first-aid and pool health regulations. The Aquatics supervisor or Assistant Aquatics Supervisor will assign work schedules.
Minimum Requirements: At least 18 years old, maturity, experience and skills to supervise staff, programs, and aquatic facility operations. Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, American Red Cross Lifeguard Training r.2001, CPR for Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Preventing Disease Transmission certifications are required before June 8, 2002. LGI preferred. In addition, the successful candidate must possess the ability to obtain CPO certification.
Rate of Pay: Starting at $10.75 per hour
