Field Allocations

The City of Spokane Parks & Recreation Department (SPRD) manages the athletic field scheduling for the City of Spokane to assure quality maintenance, equitable distribution and maximum use by the public, and when necessary, protection of fields from overuse.

These fields include: the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex, Franklin Park Softball Complex, Southeast Sports Complex plus other city park and Spokane Public School elementary and middle school field areas that are typically used for athletic activities.

Individuals or groups requesting rental of athletic fields for games or practices must complete an Athletic Field Use Application, as detailed below.

2012 Field Allocation Process:

To determine the needs for 2012, the following Requirements must be met:

1. Thoroughly read the SPRD Athletic Field Rental Guide

2. Completely fill out, sign and date the appropriate application (found in the right-hand column)

2. Submit current and accurate insurance per requirements outlined in the SPRD Athletic Field Rental Guide

4. Submit, upon due date, all required materials as outlined in the SPRD Athletic Field Rental Guide

5. Insurance can be emailed from the user group or your insurance carrier directly

6. Spokane Public School High School Field reservations can be made through Devon Rauenzahn: 509.354.7167 or devonr@spokaneschools.org. Please DO NOT call individual schools for reservations.
