ABOUT AQUATICS
The City of Spokane Parks & Recreation Department operates six outdoor aquatic centers offering a variety of amenities and programs designed for youth and adults. Programming includes the our Learn-to-Swim program as well as American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, Junior Guard and various other programs to help you keep cool, active and entertained during the hot summer months. Spokane Parks & Recreation also offers exclusive rentals of various Aquatic Facilities for birthdays, anniversaries, business functions and neighborhood gatherings.
Every year, the City of Spokane Parks Aquatics Program hires over 120 managers, lifeguards, aquatics aides, instructors, and coaches to help serve the citizens of Spokane. City of Spokane Lifeguards train with the Spokane Fire Department and utilize curiculum based on the Internationally Recognized American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Program.
