Volunteers make our programs happen by getting out into the community.

They assist, lead and teach a variety of indoor and outdoor programs, helping to maintain more than 4100 acres dedicated to open space and recreational opportunities.

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH 

DAVE BENTZ

Dave Bentz volunteers during all four seasons with the Spokane Parks and Recreation Therapeutic Recreation Services.  Dave has been a source of fun, wisdom, and leadership ever since volunteering for the Challenged Kids Softball program in 1998. His son Jeremy was a participant in the program and when the need for a volunteer coordinator surfaced, Dave stepped up to the plate.
